A husband and wife are just finishing a road trip vacation when what first seems to be just a local power outage turns out to be much more serious than that. They make it back safely to their little homestead and wait and wonder if their grown son who lives two states away will also be able to come back home again. It's fall and they know winter is coming which will make it very hard for everyone. This is one family's story of living through a drastic catastrophe that effects the whole United States.
As always in my stories there is no foul language or explicit sex though there is some violence.
My stories are only meant to provide an afternoon or evening of reading enjoyment. I now employ a professional editor to hopefully catch the errors in my writing.
A Hard Fall eBook Pete Thorsen
There were some good tips in the book especially if you happen to have an isolated and off-grid property somewhere. The story is told in first person by two characters (not a fan of this) but there was not much to differentiate as though there were really two people "talking". Much of it read like a journal and while I don't like a lot of gratuitous violence etc, it all seemed pretty tame and almost boring and then it was done.Product details

A Hard Fall eBook Pete Thorsen Reviews
If you enjoy stories without an ending then this is for you. I always enjoy his stories and I did enjoy this one till the end....it leaves you hanging and that I dont like. He could have went on and explained what really happened to America and how we settled it and also how Sean & Clare coped with it as well as his mom and dad.Hopefully he will have a part 2 to this story.
How to store your food for time that you have needs and rise good you
Will need and eat once
You know what your family will eat no use to grow good that your kids will not eat sorry about my tapo??😀 i sure am happy i can get your books 😀😇Margaret
Mom and Dad get home and ready, but what do the kids do to get home? The story provides a good lesson in understanding the situation and getting ahead of it. I am disappointed that Jack was treated as an afterthought and not incorporated more into the story. As someone who is dependent on medicine myself, the family helping their friend to stock up when they did, would have been nice. Read the story and you will understand. I thought a lookout tower would have helped and some traps/trip wires. I liked the groomed area, but the work involved should of included a tractor/ATV and a set of harrows or a rock rake, then I would have believed. I did get the feeling that they did have a horseshoe shoved up somewhere, a little more gritty would have been nice.
good book
Interesting but not for everyone
I really like reading your books, I enjoy going on a journey with the people and learning new ways to prepare.
Always enjoy Thorsen's books. This one is an EMP outage across the country about a retired couple and their adult son and his girlfriend. As usual, no foul language, no explicit sex, no gratituitous sex. Good story.
