I never thought when I started this series with the book Glazov and with Alexander Glazov and his wife Kathleen's story I would find myself so absorbed in these books. Each one, if not better than the last, certainly holds its own place in the series. When you think that the Pakhan's children can't be anymore hummmm, twisted, along comes Roksana. Oleg and Roksana's story is a little more intense, a little more twisted, but still hot!! This family and their extended members' stories just keep getting better and better. There are very few books i read over and over again and this series is one of them. Thanks so much Suzanne for this amazing group of characters. Please oh, please give Anastasia and Dmitry their own book.

Deadly Born Bratva Book 5 edition by Suzanne Steele Mayhem Cover Creations Eda Price Editing Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews

I've been waiting for this book and it didn't disappoint. Roskanna and Oleg are so cute together. I love that she brought Emily back and reinvented her. She is Anastasia now. She's a bad ass Bravata warrior. Glasov is wanting grandchildren and what he wants he gets. I absolutely love this series. I can't wait for the next book. Great read and great series.
Wow loved this book too. Roksana and Olegs relationship is different yes but they are made for each other. This books explores there connection as they work together in the Bratva and securing the diamond market that Glazov is going into.
We also get to learn the fate of Emily. I won't give any more away I don't wAnt to ruin it for you. It's different than the others but they are a different couple. You u won't be disappointed and I'm dying to read book six.
I am a big fan. I have read majority of authors books. I have followed her books but not reviewed many. However, I had to post a review on this one to voice the disappointment on a romance I was soo looking forward to reading. If you have read 'The Club', 'Novak', 'Glavok', 'Expose' and even 'Rubia' I felt I got the full story of the romance between the characters from start to finish, with all drama added into it. However, I noticed on "Cleaner" some parts to romance were glossed over with the main characters going back in a memory of their time together or just mentioning it in passing. I accepted that in 'Cleaners' because their romance was over decades long and started at young age. However, I could not take it in this romance. Oleg and Roksana were teased as some dark, sexy, simmering chemistry that would combust once they finally get together. I read their great chemistry in 'Expose' and the 'Cleaner'. I was so looking forward to this great sexual chemistry. I followed it devoutly in each book series. I mean in "Cleaners" the scene when Glavok tells Oleg that Roksana is finally his was awesome. I was so excited to see their book finally out. And what do I read of their first time together? A glossed over memory from Oleg. A-damn-glossed-over-memory-from-Oleg( I mean why? Why couldn't we get the full extended beginning of this couple from chapter one!!! The last book left it off at great point!!! I don't see why it could not have picked up from there. Instead it was just memory in Oleg's mind of that first time and it was so mild in heat at best. I was not expecting this from all the teasing. I just can't wrap my mind around it.

Don't get me wrong I enjoy the series, that is why I gave book a 3. Just felt the romance part was glossed over and missing from a couple that showed so much more heat in the other books in the series (and the book wasn't even about them!). I just want really wanted the romance to be foremost and the series drama back story. Instead I had to read POV from other characters in the series, scaled down romance compared to "The Club" and "Expose", so much family drama that the romance of this couple was pushed back, and mild to moderate sexual scenes/chemistry. I just didn't want to be told of their chemistry I want to feel it like it was promised in the series books before this one. Just feel it is turning to where drama is foremost and romance backdrop on this series. I was really looking forward to this book. I was really looking forward to seeing this couple killer combustible romance. I didn't feel it delivered. Has anyone read 'The Club' or even 'Expose'? Because if you have and you compared this book to those books, you will realize what I mean. Just so disappointed with this book. Really felt hype did not meet my expectation.

Would I recommend it, yes. Why? Because it was a good mafia crime series with humor, likable killer characters, good story lines, intrigue, suspense, and action. Why three stars? Because it did not deliver for what I look forward in Ms. Steele's books and that was on the romance description and combustible chemistry I was teased throughout the other books in the series on these two main characters. Would I continue series, maybe. I just really got disappointed with this book. Will see.
Loved it!! I am looking forward to reading the rest of the series
I absolutely love this series and author. The stories she writes are intense and characters are strong. Can't wait for more , a must read series .
Deadly, is depravity at its best. Suzanne Steele has a knack for getting into the heads of her characters and letting you see just how deranged they really are. Roksana & Oleg's love is not for the faint of heart. They are often times at their best while torturing victims & seeking retribution for their beloved Pakhan. Their physical connection is off the charts HOT. I can't wait to read about Anastasia & Dimitriy.
It takes a special kind of reader to appreciate this series. There's nothing light about it. It's total darkness.

While every reader may not appreciate Deadly, as with every book in this series, it's a great read! Deadly is Roksana, Glazov's only daughter, and Oleg's story. Their story is not romantic. It's brutal. It's dark. It's theirs! Their allegiance is to their Pakhan and the Bratva. They feed off the other's bloodlust. They live hard. They fight hard. They play hard. They are perfect for each other.

I think it's important to point out Roksana and Oleg were raised in the Bratva, a world of violence in itself. Roksana and Oleg's self expression and how they express their love for each other are a result of that upbringing.

4 stars!
